ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ron was born in Iowa but left his home state for warmer climates in 1967. He had 2 years of flying experience and qualified for the Army flight training program. He found himself in warmer climates in Louisiana at Fort Polk, in Texas at Fort Wolters, In Alabama at Fort Rucker and Vietnam for a really warm experience. Ron's flight class picture is on the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association website vhpa.org under class photos in Class 67-23 B-4. Ron spent two tours in Vietnam. His first tour was in 1968-69 his second in 1971-72.
After Vietnam Ron figured the bad part of an Army flying career had to be over so he stayed for the whole 20 year option. He obtained his Associates Degree and a Bachelor of Science In Aeronautics from Emory Riddle Aeronautical University. After the Army he worked in the Financial Services business licensed in Securities, insurance and Mortgages. and raised a family. He currently lives in the Nashville area. Ron became a Christian at age 35 so his writing attempts to be creative to avoid profanity. The book can be read by any age group.
